Benchmark Scientific PlateFuge Mini Centrifuge

Benchmark Scientific PlateFuge Mini Centrifuge is the first Mini Centrifuge which has a swing out rotor for microplates. The plates of the Benchmark Scientific Mini Centrifuge before PCR ensures that all reactants are in the bottom of the wells for improved yields and proper concentration.

Although Benchmark Scientific Mini Centrifuge has a remarkably small size (9×10 inches), it has a uniquely designed swing out rotor (patent pending) which is able to secure 2 microplates.

The easily accessible rotor chamber of the Benchmark Scientific Laboratory Centrifuge is equipped with two plate carriers that rest at a 75° angle which makes it possible for plates to be inserted confidently without sealing caps or tapes.

As soon as you close the lid of the Benchmark Scientific Laboratory Centrifuge, the rotor increases its acceleration and the centrifugal force “swings” the plates into a horizontal position. Any droplets on the walls of the plate of the Benchmark Scientific PlateFuge Mini Centrifuge concentrate into the well bottoms quickly. Most samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds, due to a g-force of 600 xg.

When you are done, simply open the lid and then the automatic electric brake stops the rotor quickly and smoothly after only 4 seconds. After that, you can easily remove the plates from the rotor.

Features of Benchmark Scientific Mini Centrifuge

  • Up-to-the-minute swing-out rotor prevents spillage (patented)
  • Spins down droplets in PCR plates quickly
  • Compatible with all popular types of PCR plates (semi, skirted, and non) and most microtiter plates
  • Truley mini sized: half the size of traditional centrifuges
