Other independent networks, such as CARSNET, SKYNET, and SONET, also use CE318 photometers.

Cimel Sun Sky Lunar Multispectral Photometer CE318-T does sky, sun, and lunar light measurements to determine important physico-optical characteristics such as volume size distribution (VSD), aerosol optical depth (AOD), complex refractive index (n), water vapor content and shape factor. The increased measurements are the result of detection chain, high sensitivity tracking and internal data processing. Solar autonomy and flexible communication enable easy operation both on temp and fixed sites.
