Metone’s ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor is an industrial air quality sensor which provides real-time and accurate measurements of particle concentration indoors and outdoors. This dust monitor system has flexible serial ports and analog outputs to support various data collection systems. Serial ports support MODBUS and simple ASCII commands via RS-232 or RS-485. Analog outputs include 0 – 10 volts and 4-20 milliamperes.
ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor is supplied in a robust weatherproof enclosure. ES-642 includes an LCD screen to provide information on instrument status, particulate concentration, power and flow rate. The electronics and the optical system are protected against humidity thanks to a built-in intake heater that controls the humidity level. The heater power is managed to maintain a minimum level of humidity.
There are some additional features including an automatic zero calibration routine and a purge air system. The sensor can be fixed to a wall or installed on a vertical pole up to 4.7 inches (120 millimeters) in diameter. ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor is equipped with a 10-foot cable and a connector for power (15-40 volts, DC) and signal output.
This dust monitor system measures particle concentration via an extremely responsive direct scattering laser nephelometer which has a measurement range of 0 – 100 milligram/cubic meter or 0 – 100000 microgram/cubic meter. Measurement level of ES-642 is done using optional sharp cut cyclones.
ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor provides particle monitoring for TSP by default and when equipped with the sharp cut cyclones, it can be configured for particulate smaller than PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.
The accuracy of the ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor is regulated for particles +/-5% according to PSL 0.6-micrometer reference standard.
The ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor can be applied to industries like Manufacturing, Construction and Mining, HVAC, Emergency Response, Homeland Security or Military, and Environmental Consulting. This dust monitor system also offers a substantial amount of applications including: Remote Sampling, Ambient Monitoring, Public & Workplace Monitoring, Dust Monitoring, Point Source Location Monitoring, Emission Sampling, Mining and Ore Processing, Environmental Surveys and Fenceline Monitoring.
